Yard Sale #1

Yesterday we had an impromptu yard sale in a somewhat weak-willed attempt to get rid of some of our stuff.  Most of what we had put out was electronics and other assorted items, as you can see from the picture here.

We were hoping that the nice weather would increase foot traffic along our street a bit.  And it did, but not really as much as we’d hoped.

In the end, we did get rid of everything and made a bit of money in the process.  For about 3 hours of work (or actually just babysitting the stuff), a $52 payout isn’t too bad.  Whatever was left over was split into two groups of stuff, Goodwill and donations to local refugee help agencies.  (Almost) nothing came back into the house.  And that’s a step in the right direction.
